THE SERVER - IBM Netfinity 5800 - Running Debian 5.0 (Lenny)
The server, (Pictured above) was originally running Windows 2003 Small Business Server. In 2008, I was given this server to use as my own when my friend decided to use Windows for his webservers. At that time, the machine had Debian Linux 4.0 (Etch) loaded on the server. Soon after I got this server, I had started to build my website and had hoped to move it to the office, where it was to be hosted on my own IP. However, soon after I had started, I had a hardware faulure of the RAID card for this server, and it returned to the office this summer, where I had learned that the RAID failed because the battery that powered the RAID card for my server had died - Dan put in a newer RAID card, and that night, the server was reloaded, and the IP assigned for my server and site - Now, I am rebuilding this site using Webstudio 4.0 and it is looking good.
